Possible Effects of a Cosmological Constant on Black Hole Evolution

چکیده
We explore possible effects of vacuum energy on the evolution of black holes. If the universe contains a cosmological constant, and if black holes can absorb energy from the vacuum, then black hole evaporation could be greatly suppressed. For the magnitude of the cosmological constant suggested by current observations, black holes larger than ∼ 4× 10 g would accrete energy rather than evaporate. In this scenario, all stellar and supermassive black holes would grow with time until they reach a maximum mass scale of ∼ 6 × 10 g, comparable to the mass contained within the present day cosmological horizon. On the Entropy of Deformed Phase Space Black Hole and the Cosmological Constant
In this paper we study the effects of noncommutative phase space deformations on the Schwarzschild black hole. This idea has been previously studied in Friedmann–Robertson–Walker (FRW) cosmology, where this “noncommutativity” provides a simple mechanism that can explain the origin of the cosmological constant. In this paper, we obtain the same relationship between the cosmological constant and ...

In this brief note, we investigate some possible experimental consequences of the de-Sitter or Anti-de-Sitter background spacetime structure for d-dimensional evaporating black holes. Possible observational signatures in Large Hadron Collider (LHC) events are considered in the framework of the Arkani-Hamed-Dimopoulos-Dvali (ADD) braneworld model. Lower bounds on the value of the bulk cosmologic...
متن کاملA Possible Mechanism for Production of Primordial Black Holes
Primordial Black Hole Remnants(PBHRs) can be considered as a primary source of cold dark matter. Hybrid inflation provides a possible framework for production of primordial black holes(PBHs) and these PBHs evaporate subsequently to produce PBHRs. In this paper we provide another framework for production of these PBHs. Using signature changing cosmological model and the generalized uncertainty p...
متن کاملUntangling the merger history of massive black holes with LISA
Binary black hole coalescences emit gravitational waves that will be measurable by the space-based detector LISA to large redshifts. This suggests that LISA may be able to observe black holes grow and evolve as the universe evolves, mapping the distribution of black hole masses as a function of redshift. An immediate difficulty with this idea is that LISA measures certain redshifted combination...
متن کاملNon-Singular Black Holes, the Cosmological Constant and Asymptotic Safety
Quantum gravitational effects in black hole spacetimes with a cosmological constant Λ are considered. The effective quantum spacetimes for the black holes are constructed by taking into account the renormalization group improvement of classical solutions obtained in the framework of Unimodular Gravity (a theory which is identical to General Relativity at a classical level). This allows us to av...
